Description
Description
A striking pair of decorative ecclesiastical lanterns, combining warm aged brass with tall cylindrical glass shades and distinctive domed tops, each surmounted by a cross finial.
The beautifully detailed metalwork features pierced circular and triangular motifs, creating a captivating interplay of light and shadow when illuminated. The clear glass chimneys are secured within sculptural brass frames, which rise from broad, circular bases with a rich, aged patina.
Architectural in character and rich in decorative detail, these evocative pieces would make a distinctive statement in a contemporary interior, whether displayed on a console, mantelpiece or side table. Equally suited to an eclectic setting, they offer a compelling contrast between historic ecclesiastical influence and modern design.
Offered as a pair, with characterful surface wear and patination that enhance their individual charm.
