Description

This stunning Glass and Lucite Coffee Table was designed by Lion in Frost in New York circa 1970, exemplifying the refined glamour and bold minimalism that defined high-end American furniture design of the era. Known for their innovative use of Lucite, Lion in Frost created pieces that brought transparency, lightness, and sculptural form into mid-century and Hollywood Regency interiors.

The table features a thick, rectangular glass top that appears to float above its dynamic Lucite base. The base itself is composed of intersecting clear Lucite beams arranged in a geometric, architectural formation that changes visually depending on your angle and lighting—creating a striking interplay of light and shadow. The design captures the essence of 1970s modernism: clean lines, clarity of form, and a futuristic elegance that remains timeless.

This piece is not only a functional coffee table but also a statement object—its presence adds sophistication and visual interest to any living space. Whether placed in a minimalist loft or a luxurious vintage setting, it speaks to both restraint and boldness, making it a sought-after piece for collectors and interior designers alike.
