Mantis Insect Table Lamp by Noriyuki Ebina, Japan
A striking sculptural table lamp by Japanese designer Noriyuki Ebina, inspired by the delicate yet distinctive form of an insect. Featuring a beautifully rounded metallic body, elongated wire legs and fine antennae, the design captures the unusual proportions of a mantis in a playful yet sophisticated piece of functional lighting.
The combination of polished metal surfaces and slender, linear detailing creates a wonderfully light, almost animated silhouette. Balancing sculptural expression with practical function, this distinctive design makes an eye-catching addition to a contemporary interior, whether styled on a desk, side table or console.
An unusual piece of Japanese design that blurs the boundaries between lighting and sculpture, ideal for collectors of characterful and unconventional modern design.
